If you’re based in Milton Keynes and your TV Aerial has stopped working, there are a few things that could be causing this that you can check at home. Often it is something as simple as the TV Input has been changed through your remote, the channels simply need re-tuning or a cable has come loose from the back of the TV or become damaged.
Sometimes the issue lies with the actual aerial itself, this can become damaged by wildlife such as birds or squirrels or even natural occurrences such as bad weather; not always does this mean the aerial has become damaged, sometimes it may have simply moved out of optimal position which is affecting the signal. The same applies to the wall plate - this is essentially what is connecting your TV to the outside cable. If a storm has taken place this can damage the cable.
A customer recently called us out to their home on Coleshill Place in Milton Keynes as their TV Aerial had stopped working.
Unfortunately, after inspecting the aerial I could see it had become damaged - the customer had recently had work men in for some home renovations, during which damage had taken place. This isn’t something the customer would have been able to fix themselves and we were able to rectify this for them.
If my aerial stops working, can I fix this myself?
If you’ve checked your TV Input, tried to re-tune and checked the cables in the back of the TV and this issue is still occurring it’s worth calling out your local aerial engineer in Milton Keynes to locate the fault and perform the needed remedial work to fix this for you.
Attempting to carry out repairs yourself isn’t something we recommend, not only is there always risk when it comes to working from a ladder but you may also cause further damage in doing so. By paying the costs for a professional to inspect this, you’re keeping not only yourself, but passers by on the street safe too. Robson Aerials are proud trust a trader, contact our team today
